Kirkland Neighborhoods

Kirkland has neighborhoods that fit almost any lifestyle and taste.  You just have to know where to look!  Let me be your Kirkland neighborhood guide and help you find the home that is perfect for you!

Kirkland has an estimated population of 45,740 as of April 1, 2005, ranking it the 18th largest city in  Washington.  It is an affluent city located on the east side of Lake Washington.  Its downtown is located on the Lake Washington lakefront – making it very popular with pedestrians, runners and bikers.

Notable features of the city include its downtown, located on the lakefront (Kirkland is the only city on the Eastside with a waterfront downtown), with many restaurants and art galleries and a performing arts center; numerous public parks, including a number of beaches; and a large collection of public art, primarily bronze sculptures.

Kirkland is accessible via Interstate 405 which connects it with other Eastside cities, including Bellevue, Renton, and Bothell.  Seattle, which is west of Kirkland, as well as Redmond to the east, are both accessible through State Highway 520.

Kirkland has many neighborhoods including:  West of Market, East of Market, Houghton, The Highlands, downton, Rose Hill, Juanita, and Bridle Trails.

The Bridle Trails neighborhood spans the cities of both Kirkland and Bellevue.  It is known for its equestrian properties and also for a number of luxury properties.  Many of the neighborhoods border Bridle Trails State Park.

Bridle Trails State Park is a 482-acre, second-growth forest park containing over 28 miles of trails.  The trails are wide and well-maintained.  Some of the many wonderful, close-in neighborhoods include: Corsun Ranch Estates, Sablewood, and The Hunt Club.  Such great locations with easy access to I-405!  Please call me if you’d like a private tour of any of the homes that are currently available for sale.
